Camping

Camping

Pitch your tent on one of three secluded private sites.  The campfire/barbeque area is a great place to gather with new and old friends.  You’ll be nestled in the woods with the convenience of a nearby composting toilet/outhouse, water spigot and picnic tables.  A rustic cold-water outdoor shower is nestled in the trees, if you’re not afraid to bare all to the elements.

Farm Stays in Texas

Barndominium

By special arrangement the entire Barndominium may be rented to luxuriously accommodate 2 – 10 guests. Our carefully designed home features 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, plus indoor and outdoor cooking/entertaining areas. The first floor includes two private queen bedrooms, along with a large utility kitchen with prep sink, counter space, standing freezer and washer/dryer.

Upstairs the barn unfolds into a spacious, elegant indoor/outdoor entertainment area. The living room includes a 72” television and sectional couch to seat 8-10 people, opening up onto an exterior deck with an outdoor sectional couch, dining area and grill. There’s also an indoor dining room and well-appointed kitchen. The charming Irish turquoise kitchen is accented with a local sandstone backsplash and all the amenities: gas range, double oven, warming drawer, walk-in pantry and farmhouse copper sink. This Texas décor honors exquisite examples of wildlife such as elk, deer, and moose, displayed overlooking the dining and living areas.

The master bedroom is peaceful in soft shades of blue and cream and contains a cozy private sitting area with deck space overlooking the Chartres-style labyrinth below. The master bath has a soaking tub and walk-in glass shower with views of the meadows.

The additional upstairs guest room has 2 full size beds, a queen sleeper sofa, and its own bath. All bathrooms include custom cabinetry and tilework throughout. Graham (Ardor Wood co-founder and owner) personally crafted the interior pine tongue-in-groove ceilings, trim, doors and finishes.

Please contact us to learn more, reserve a private space, or collaborate your group’s vision for a memorable day or overnight at Ardor Wood Farm.
